All these services and marketing materials can get overwhelming, right? Therefore, we have outlined a few packages to help you get started with your international ecommerce expansion experience with Shadstone Limited.

Step 1 – Choose Your Profile

Please select which of the following 2 profiles (a: Chinese going to USA, b: Westerner going to China) that best fit you and your business

Chinese Factories, Trading Companies, B2C Companies Going to USA

This is for Chinese or Hong Kong based export companies (getting their sales from outside of China) that wish to expand to the American market. Normally their situation is they have been exporting for many years, already have a basic English website, have foreign customers that they find from trade fairs (Canton Fair, globalsources), and B2B websites (Alibaba, Global Sources, MadeinChina) but are looking to build their own brand or take steps to get closer to the USA and international market.

Western Companies (USA, Europe) Entering the Chinese Market

As most of us know, the China market has been growing rapidly and many Westerners have been doing their best to get proper “China exposure“, but have no idea where to start. Shadstone founder, Michael Michelini, knows exactly what you are feeling, being an American in China since 2007, he and his team can get you on the fast track.

Step 2 – Identify Where You are in the process

Stage 1. Opening the Market (Inside Sales Only)

  • Inbound client services: contacting, following, and maintaining of international customers.
  • Internet advertising and results tracking.
  • SEO (search engine ranking optimization) services.
  • Web design, localization – Promotion on various local industry sites and establishment of online shop

Stage 2. Intermediate (logistics, storage and warehouse leasing, etc.)

  • Border assistance – customs declaration, tax, and other services.
  • Freight and logistics procedures, and provide samples (for certain sizes) storage and delivery services.
  • Distribution of business brochure and product samples

Stage 3. Advanced (Outside Sales)

  • Lease office and warehouse.
  • Employ dedicated American full-time operations and sales staff.
  • Participate in various overseas trade fairs according to customers’ requirements.
  • Offer face-to-face sales services.
  • Rapid collection of market feedback and product information.

Step 3 – Select the Level of Shadstone’s Involvement

Depending on how much control and investment you want to assign to Shadstone, the following 3 levels should give us an idea:

Level 1: Consulting, Strategy report & Referral

You will work one-on-one with a Shadstone’s representative to work closely with your specific case to enter the USA or China market.

  • 1-2 hour initial consultation to get your business needs and understanding
  • Market Entry report & presentation – Shadstone will provide you a detailed market entry report and competitive analysis for your business to enter your new target market. We will also include service providers in each phase that we recommend you work with (but are in no way obligated) to help you execute this plan quickly and seamlessly.
  • 2 follow up consultations – after you and your business associates have started to execute on this new strategy report, a Shadstone consultant will follow up to answer any questions or concerns on your current market entry progress.

Level 2: Hybrid Consulting & Full Service

All of the above from level 1 package, plus Shadstone will implement 3 of the processes for you, just asking you to sign & authorize with appropriate POA (power of attorney).

Level 3: VIP Full Service

Shadstone does EVERYTHING above, and works closely with you until you are successfully on your way in your new target market, USA or China.
